A day to slow down can feel like a small miracle. We are delighted to offer our first retreat, held in the quiet woods where Ruby and I have found so much more ease. Out here the cell service fades, and with it the noise of everyday life.

You are welcome to spend time in groundwork sessions, equine bodywork, grooming, or riding if that feels right for you. You may also choose to read, journal, meditate, or simply rest in the presence of the horses. Their calm has a way of settling the heart.

This one‑day holiday kickoff invites campers into a cozy barn day filled with horses, winter magic, and hands on fun. Campers learn the basics of horsemanship, including groundwork, grooming, tacking and untacking, riding, and practicing how to keep both human and horse bodies safe around one another. They can also help with simple barn care such as feeding, sweeping, and cleaning a stall, joining the gentle rhythm of the barn as winter begins.

Alongside horse time, campers can enjoy a nature walk, cozy rest and play moments, and a festive winter holiday craft session full of handmade sparkle. It’s a cheerful, welcoming way to step into the season with horses, friends, and a little holiday wonder.
