Private & Extended Private Lessons
Private lessons offer a quiet, relaxed environment where riders can grow at their own pace. Each session blends horsemanship and ridden skills, giving students time to understand the horse on the ground as well as in the saddle. These lessons are ideal for anyone who wants focused instruction, gentle guidance, and space to build confidence without pressure.

Pint-Sized Lessons
For little ones ages 4 through 6 who are curious about horses, these thirty‑minute sessions offer a gentle, child‑led introduction to our lesson program. Each lesson meets your child exactly where they are. Some may need time to simply be near the horse, some may prefer games and simple interactions, and others may be ready to explore the basics of walking, trotting, and steering.
The heart of these lessons is empowerment. We encourage children to express what they need, move at their own pace, and build confidence through quiet, authentic connection. Horses are wonderful teachers, so parents can relax and let the magic unfold naturally.

Beginner Semi-Private Lessons
Semi‑private beginner lessons give new riders a broad, gentle introduction to horsemanship and riding. Students learn the essentials of equine handling, grooming, and tacking up, along with foundational ridden skills such as proper mounting and dismounting, clear use of the basic aids, and how to use their body to communicate direction and speed. Each session blends quiet groundwork with simple, supportive riding so beginners can grow steadily and confidently.
If it’s within your means, starting with a private lesson is the best way to learn the basics with focused guidance. We understand that isn’t possible for everyone, and we’ll meet you wherever you are. Just know, if you choose to start in group lessons it’s going to take you a bit longer to catch on to all of the concepts; you will get there, and we’ll support you every step of the way.

Intermediate Semi-Private Lessons
Intermediate students can catch their horse independently, groom and tack up without assistance, steer confidently, and ride at the walk and trot. At this stage, riders have a solid foundation in both horsemanship and ridden skills and are ready to begin fine‑tuning their abilities.
In these lessons, we deepen groundwork and horsemanship while refining mounted work. Riders focus on developing a quieter, more effective seat and using it for most of their communication with the horse. We work on smoother transitions, better balance, and building confidence on more challenging horses. Depending on weather and horse availability, intermediate students may occasionally ride outside the arena to broaden their experience.
Placement in intermediate semi‑private lessons requires instructor approval.

Independent Lessons
Independent lessons are for students who are ready to manage their horse confidently on their own. Riders at this level must be approved by an instructor and able to catch, groom, tack up, and warm up their horse without assistance. After the instructional portion, students also cool down and untack independently.
These sessions provide thirty minutes of focused, in‑arena instruction. Independent riders arrive with a clear sense of their goals and interests, communicating what they’d like to work on as they continue refining both groundwork and ridden skills.

Groundwork & In-Hand
Groundwork lessons help you understand how horses think, how they communicate, and how to read the subtle signals they offer. We recommend groundwork to every student, as a strong riding journey begins with a solid understanding of a horse’s mind. In these sessions, you’ll learn how to get in sync with a horse, reassure them when they’re uncertain, and explore the basics of training; all of which start on the ground.
You may work with in‑hand obstacles, walk your horse outside in the field, and practice noticing the small cues that tell you how your horse feels, what they need, and how they’re responding to you. Groundwork deepens connection, builds confidence, and strengthens communication in a way that carries beautifully into the saddle. Talk with your instructor to explore the direction that interests you most.

Just know that starting in a group setting may take a little more time to absorb all the concepts; you will get there, and we’ll support you every step of the way.

Three for All Lessons Three for all lessons are shared sessions for three riders who want to learn together in a gentle, supportive environment. This format gives each rider time to practice, listen, observe, and connect with the horses without feeling rushed. It’s a wonderful option for small groups who enjoy learning side by side and supporting one another. This lesson must be purchased as a complete three‑rider package and cannot be booked individually.
Three for All Lesson 90 minutes: $185 package
Disclaimer: The relationship between horses and human is incredibly nuanced. While this is a riding program, your life-long relationship with horses is our priority. Horses are magical because they can feel your feelings and we want to teach you how to feel what they’re feeling also. There might be times you’ve scheduled a riding lesson when groundwork might be emphasized instead.
