It's blanket season! The blankets are coming out, the horses are getting fuzzy, and boots that were clean five minutes ago somehow aren't anymore. October brings a shift in rhythm of the barn, trading dusty summer evenings for crisp mornings and cozy rides beneath changing leaves. We've been busy behind the scenes making changes, planning upcoming events, and continuing to grow our programs. We're excited to share what's new, what's coming next, and a special thank-you to the families and riders who make Atlas such a wonderful place to be.
Our first Serenity Sunday taught us something we've always believed: sometimes the most meaningful moments happen when we slow down enough to notice them. Between quiet time with the horses, earnest chats, and spending a day outdoors, the retreat felt like exactly the kind of experience we hope to create here at Atlas.
We're excited to invite you to our next Serenity Sunday Retreat on November 22 from 10 AM to 4 PM. Open to adults of all experience levels, this retreat is designed for both riders and non-riders seeking a peaceful day of connection, reflection, and time alongside our equine partners.
We hope you'll join us. Visit the Camps and Events page to learn more.
Booking Updates- We've been making a few small improvements behind the scenes. Wednesday lessons now note that instruction may be with either Ruby or Jen (usually Ruby), depending on the week's schedule. We've also clarified the booking form and appreciate everyone including the names and ages of all riders when booking multiple lessons at once.
A treat, no trick- As a little Halloween gift from us to you, use code WEEKDAYZ for 15% off lessons scheduled Monday through Thursday between 9 AM and 4 PM during November. Book now and enjoy a quieter ride at the barn this fall.
Fall & Winter Camps- A few spots are still available in two of our most popular camps, so be sure to reserve yours soon!
Our Warm Up to Winter Camp is a cozy day at the barn after Thanksgiving (November 27th) filled with ride time, horsemanship, and seasonal fun. This camp is $150 per camper, with a $10 sibling discount to help families join in the fun together.
Our Three-Day Cozy Winter Kids Camp (December 21-23) is a great way to keep kids riding and spending time with their equine and human friends while parents prepare for the holidays or simply enjoy a little winter coziness of their own. This camp is $350 per camper, with a $10 sibling discount available.
To reserve a spot, email hello@atlasridingschool.com as soon as possible. We expect these camps to fill quickly.
Thank you for being part of our little corner of the woods. Whether you're joining us for a lesson, a camp, a retreat, or simply cheering us on from afar, you're part of what makes Atlas such a special place. We look forward to sharing another season of horses, learning, and connection with you.
With love from the woods,
Jen and Ruby
